How did Pö Derma come to be?
As a facial plastic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, my interest in skincare was a direct extension of my clinical practice. I wanted my patients to be able to maintain the quality and care of their skin in between office visits and also to be able to achieve the same clinical results at home. Pö Derma is the merging of my medical experience, my clinical research, and of course, my passion. It is for these reasons I wanted to create an advanced system of daily skincare. All of our products are carefully and scientifically designed and manufactured in Canada, to help optimize a healthy glow for your skin.The reason Pö Derma products achieve success is that I have always taken the time to listen to my patients and made it an important part of my cosmetic medical practice to listen to my patients aesthetic goals and applying an evidence-based approach to my formulas.
What do you think women want out of their skincare?
My extensive experience over the last two decades has shown me that women want more out of their skincare products. While wanting younger looking and glowing skin, women today want their products to make them look the same way they feel — smart, successful, beautiful, and empowered. Today’s society make’s women feel that they need to reverse time and the aging process. At Pö Derma, we believe that your external beauty parallels your inner spirit and celebrate who you are as today’s woman. I do not believe in anti-aging and negativity. It is for those reasons I wanted to create an advanced system of daily skincare that can provide women with the results they desire.
What is your goal for Pö Derma?
My desire and the goal of Pö Derma is to create and share this line of products that empower as many women as possible, to boost confidence as well as improve the look and feel of any skin. The Pö Derma system is a comprehensive daily regimen scientifically designed to combat the effects of environmental stressors and modern living in order to achieve optimal skin quality and appearance.
Is the system easy to use?
The Pö Derma system is very simple to use. It was designed to work with all skin types and contains only 7 products. The goal of the system is to CLEANSE, REPAIR and PROTECT skin of any type.
1. CLEANSE
Our skin collects a buildup of unwanted and damaging molecules from all kinds of sources. They oxidize skin at the cellular level, but also block and clog pores, ultimately damaging the skin surface. Without removing these impurities, and freeing the skin to regenerate naturally, skin deteriorates more quickly than it should, and lacks the health that gives that universally-desired ‘glow’. 3. PROTECT
You need to protect your skin from the inside and out. A healthy diet including plenty of water gives you the nutrition and hydration you need from the inside; your moisturizers and lip balm help prevent moisture loss and increase hydration for your skin from the outside. They also actively fight the oxidizing effects of our daily environment. The night cream is a little heavier to give you that additional protection and critical nurture throughout the night.
